, hagersto hagerstown. chilly morning in the 40s in the valley. fog western maryland, west virginia. over the fog the sky is beginning to clear out. as the day progresses the fog will dissipate. increasing sunshine. mostly sunny for the primary election day tomorrow. on wednesday, again, up near 80 with sunshine, low humidity. could get more much needed rain on thursday. jerry, how is the monday commute now? >> watch out for the fog. but certainly not an issue in town. a new traffic pattern to tell you about. 395 north bound, 14th street bridge. far left lane is taken away. this is i think the fifth phase. it's the left lane closed up. veer a little bit to the right. you can exit to the g.w. parkway. you start to lose the left lane. three lanes will get you by. everybody is doing it within fine fashion. see if that's the case elsewhere this morning. making a trip along 66. tom mentioned the fog. saw some out in manassas. a truck dumped a bunch of gravel. how are we doing on the rail? fine. two delays, camden 841 and 843. under ten minutes each. joe? >> all right. jerry, thanks so much. >>

families to rebuild what they have lost. >>> investigators in another virginia community are trying to piece together what led to a deadly fire earlier this week. a 24-year-old and her son died when flames raced through their lorton town house on wednesday. her three other children survived after she dropped out of a second story window. >>> we are following a couple of developing story started in the district, crews are repaired a water main break. they are trying to fix the break near martin luther king avenue in southeast d.c. they are also cleaning up after a downed tree. there are traffic issues in that area this afternoon >>> in arlington, police say that a driver who had a medical emergency was responsible for a seven-car pileup on i-66 this morning. the cleanup is causing delays near the roosevelt bridge. four people were taken to hospital and there is no word on their condition. >>> investigators say suspect on the list should be considered armed and dangerous. there was a crash in southeast d.c. early this morning. courtney robinson brings us the latest. >> it was a series

three days. heads-up in northern virginia. a new traffic pattern in place a a busy intersection in ty >>> crime alert. eight people have been shot over the weekend in ward 4 in the district. this violence began just after midnight on friday with one person shot in the 600 block of longfellow streetnorthwest. fewer than five hours later, a woman was caught in gunfi near 9th and deindicator street. four people shot on satuay night in the 700 block of sheprd. that's about a block away from a police substation. two people were shot in the 100 block of kennedy street northwest before sunrise. we have checked with d.c. police and they say they do not know of any arrest in y shootings. >>> police on the hunt for a person who murdered a 21-year-old woman in the district. this happened around 3:30 yesterday morning along bruce place. ashley mccray is the young woman in the far right in this picture. it was takent the georgetown store worked. th found the 21-year-old inside a car early saturday morning where she had been shot. she was rushed to the hospital where shwas pronounced dead. >> every

bash is in sterling, virginia. dana, are we talking about contract with america 2.0 here? >> reporter: in many ways, yes, kyra, the whole theme as you said among house republicans is to try to convince voters just six weeks before the election that they do have some plans to actually run the government. however, just look at where i am and the images of people remembering in 1994, how different it is. the last thing in the world that republicans wanted to do would be to stand on the steps of the capitol as they did back then representing everything that some of the people that they're really trying to get can't stand. that's why we are here at a small business. that's the emphasis today. the whole question of whether or not anything is different in here, we see a lot of what we have heard. the fact that they want to trim spending, the fact to make tax cuts permanent, the fact to repeal the president's health care plan and there are some small pieces in here that i think are interesting and i should show our viewers and clearly bones, if you will, to tea party voters trying to placate.
